Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of fontpairings.net, the Studio, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by fontpairings ("we", "us").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing to these Terms on its behalf.
Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.
Please give us accurate, up-to-date information when you sign up — and keep it that way.
Subscription, billing & cancellation
fontpairings offers a free Explorer plan and paid plans (Pro, Team, etc.). Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, after which you'll be moved to the free Explorer plan.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact billing@fontpairings.net.
License to use the Service
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.
Fonts available through the Service remain the property of their respective foundries. Downloads and exports are licensed for the use described on each font's detail page — usually a commercial-use license for sites, apps, and brand materials.
You may not redistribute the fonts themselves, sell access to the Studio, or attempt to scrape the pairing library in bulk.
Your content & Brand Kits
When you save a Brand Kit, preview text, or other content ("Your Content"), you retain ownership of it.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
You're responsible for making sure Your Content doesn't infringe on anyone's rights or violate any law.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to do anything illegal, abusive, deceptive, or that violates someone else's rights.
Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent any part of the Service.
Don't use the Service to train a competing typography product, font-pairing model, or design assistant.
Service availability & changes
We work hard to keep the Service running, but we don't guarantee it will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted at all times.
We may add, change, or remove features, and we may discontinue the Service entirely with reasonable notice. If we do, you'll receive a refund for any prepaid period you haven't used.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, fontpairings will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or other users.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will continue to apply after the Service ends for you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we'll notify you in-product or by email. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
